Objective

Nemesis is a personal editorial I co-styled with fellow stylist Cve (@by_cve), photographed by Rosalynn Sundahl with model Lanxiang Vermeulen of Touché Models, hair & makeup by Hanan Chahid, on location at Studio Mucha.

Unlike the university briefs elsewhere on this site, this one was self-initiated — a shoot built entirely outside of school, working with a professional photographer and a modelling agency, with full creative control over the styling direction alongside Cve.

Named for the Greek goddess of retribution — the reckoning that answers hubris — the styling leans into sheer black veiling, dark florals and heavy fabrication: quiet on first glance, watchful underneath.

Nemesis takes its name from the Greek goddess who answers hubris with a reckoning — not rage, but certainty. The styling builds that same quiet threat: sheer black tulle drawn across the eyes and throat, dark florals, heavy fabrication worn like armour.

Across the set, the veil becomes the visual language of the whole story — obscuring the model's gaze in one frame, then giving it back in the next, sharper for having been hidden.

A hand drawn slowly across the eyes — the one frame that says the quiet part out loud.

She was quiet, but she was not blind.
